Last evening, I was having a conversation with a peer and friend about community and what it means to us professionally. Many of our analogies were likened to what we do in our neighborhood. We see our elderly neighbor shoveling snow; we go over and help to ensure they have safe passage on their property. A neighbor knocks on your door asking for a cup of sugar and you provide it with a smile. Oftentimes getting in return a delicious, sweet treat.

We settled on the notion that community is more than networking. At its core, it is more than the people themselves. It is about the betterment of the whole, not the individual. That is the beauty of RedCat Multiverse, the community it is building.

For me, I am a lover of experience and in all my travels I tell my friends, show me your life, not the tourist attractions. Give me a day of your food, friends and entertainment. I learn so much more about culture, attitudes and ideas this way. When I joined the RedCat Multiverse Community, through the encouragement of my long-time peer, Dr. Karl Kapp, I realized I had stumbled into a professional neighborhood I did not want to visit but where I wanted to build a home.

As a community member, I am contributing insights on experiential learning, life skills, and my area of expertise — microlearning. I am participating with others to build a vision of an infinite community that collaborates to build its own foundation of support, while drawing in others that will inspire, lead, and participate in it to continue its growth. For the knowledge you gain, the amount of talent that is returned is ten-fold.

Perhaps others will liken what RedCat is doing to building a spaceship that can land on Mars. What I think is we are building a platform that will help us find the engineers and creative minds that will actually get us there. A game that encourages play to learn, but provides the opportunity to earn is unheard of, but what you will get in return is far more valuable than anything an individual could monetize. It’s not just knowledge, it’s skills and perspective, self-awareness and agency — pure empowerment of the person.

That’s been my professional motto for over 20 years, “empower people.” My adage is embraced by so many others here at RedCat and I am excited about being part of a development team that is figuring out how to empower others to be able to do things like negotiate or handle conflict while leveraging one’s curiosity to help them hone a skill.

The marvel of RedCat Multiverse is that it’s still growing and evolving. That will continue as it begins to launch itself and entice new “homeowners”. Your acumen for immersive learning, experiential learning, skill development, comprehension of crypto, and so much more are not only needed in this community but they are welcomed.

Join us and share in the experience of building the future of not only gameplay in the 21st century, but our collective future as an innovative workforce.
